🎣 Fishing Report: Nighttime Mango Mayhem & Daytime Drag-Pullers! 🐟
This trip had it all—hot bites, bent rods, and coolers packed to the brim!
The night bite was 🔥—we crushed the mangrove snapper under the stars and mixed in a wild variety of porgies, vermilions, yellowtail, a feisty red grouper, and even a surprise mutton snapper. Oh, and let’s not forget the gags and red snapper that decided to crash the party!
But the real show? A massive shark that put on a display and two customers who got flat-out railed by a big Goliath Grouper. Rods doubled, adrenaline pumping—it was the kind of chaos we live for offshore.
Sunrise brought more action. A solid morning bite lit up the deck with red grouper, mangos, and porgies. Just when we thought it would slow, a midday mango rally broke out—with a couple of scamps sliding into the mix.
As expected, the bite faded around 2PM, but we stayed on the hunt, hopping spot to spot and steadily pulling in red grouper, vermilions, triggerfish, porgies—and yes, even a toro (caught while the captain was catching Z’s).
Early morning hours had a fair run of Lane Snapper, adding even more variety to everyone’s haul.
🌅 Just before sunset, the mango bite fired back up, giving us a steady pick on every drop… until the east wind kicked in around 9AM and turned the ride home into a bit of an uphill battle.
But no complaints here—every cooler was full, every angler left smiling, and once again, the GulfStar Endurance delivered the goods.
